A remote user has most (if not all) of the beamline
data processing programs available for their use. A remote user should use a
different computer from the one being used to operate the beamline for data
processing. The data processing computer will need to have a NX client installed and
operational. The user will then need to connect o 1 of 2 gateway NX servers
that have been setup to handle remote data collection. Please contact your staff user support for the IP
address of the gateways machines. Once you have connected to one of the NX
gateway machines, you will need to ssh –X into one of the data processing
machines (once again, contact you local staff for this information). Once you
have connected to one of the local data processing machines, you can follow the
directions provided in the beamline
users guide.
